Genesis of Lumière’s Startup Saturday

We have been doing Lumière Learning Mondays, inviting inspiring people to engage with the team at the Lumière office.

During Covid, we transitioned Learning Mondays to an online video podcast featuring two-hour conversations with guests to delve into their journeys. The sessions were aired live on Zoom Webinar and later on YouTube.

We launched other online events, such as Torchbearer Thursday and CMA Samvaad, each with specific inspiration during Covid.

Our Learning Mondays are Living Museum, where we have interviewed artists, storytellers, environmentalists, educators, yoga exponents, musicians, business professionals, doctors, startup founders, authors, social workers, counsellors and storytellers. These individuals are incredibly passionate about their work, igniting a desire within us to share their journeys with the world and perpetually inspire others.

Presently, we are on the fourth season of Learning Monday.

In 2021, we created a niche event for book lovers calledWise Wednesday, a platform for authors to discuss their books, inspirations, and journeys, and we completed two seasons of ten episodes of Lumière Wise Wednesday.

Our startup founders used clips from our interviews on Learning Mondays, Torchbearer Thursdays and Wise Wednesdays for their storytelling. This has given them a leg up to reach investors and expand their reach.

Leveraging this topic of interest, we decided to introduce a new podcast series called 'Startup Saturday’.

It offers a platform for startups to engage in a crisp conversation of 20 minutes with host Deepa Soman.

We have over 150 videos on YouTube and continue to consistently enhance our comprehension of various social media platforms and algorithms. This has led us to possess a refined understanding of our audience's preferences, focusing on niche yet pertinent topics.

We have evolved Lumière events with new events, suitable timing, fewer monthly episodes, shorter podcast formats, and now broadcasting podcasts on our Spotify channel.
