My Lumière Experience:
"The ability to work as a team at all times and the support from each team member is one of the best experiences at Lumière".

It has been a wonderful experience being a part of the initial team and growing with the team slowly and steadily. Initially I had apprehensions about being able to handle research, as it was a completely new field for me. But with strong support and guidance of team members I was able to overcome the fears. Lumière allows you to learn on the job under a mentor resulting in continuous training. Lumière is a professional organization, where talents are appreciated and assistance is given to overcome shortcomings at all times. It allows you to grow professionally and personally as a complete individual. And now, especially after having our first child, Lumière is the best thing that has happened in my life. It allows one to maintain a work life balance, spend ample time with baby and yet do constructive work at my time and pace, which other wise in any other organization would have been a distant dream.

My Lumière Experience:
A banker and an investment advisor by training, I bring with me a deep understanding of consumer behaviour observed over years of assisting consumers make that most high-involvement of buying decisions - concerning their own money. I believe that nowhere are consumers more honest and stripped bare than in deciding what course of action to take with their earnings.

I also bring with me experience in designing new products aimed at consumers in the financial world, and in observing consumer receptiveness to them.

I opted out of a regular job in Banking to join Lumière, not least of all because Lumière promised to help me find that ultimate, but highly elusive work-life balance, but more so because I believed that Lumière is an organization where I could broaden my understanding of the consumer, and not just in the financial space.

Lumière means a huge opportunity to me to observe, to learn and to contribute. The sense of openness and mutual respect within the organization permeates not just the the work we do, but the way in which we see each other, clients, partners, and everyone around us. Past experience is the capital you come in with, and you layer it with newer insights and learnings from experiences each day.

In fact, while you gain a plethora of new skills and learnings at Lumière, the only thing you lose very quickly are your own preconceptions!
